General
Question: Is this event open to everyone?
Answer: The event is offered to children ages 6-12 in Calgary.
Question: Is All Sport One Day free?
Answer: Yes, it is completely free! Just register online.
Question: How do I register my child?
Answer: Please click on Help at the top of the page for a step-by-step guide on registering.
Question: When can I register my child in a Session?
Answer: Registration for Sessions will not be open until May 23.
Question: What happens if the weather is bad?
Answer: If the weather is bad, the decision to run sport activities will be decided by either the facility or sport organization a few days prior to the event. This is for safety reasons. We will update our website and send an email to parents to inform them of the decision.

Question: Do I have to stay with my child during All Sport One Day?
Answer: Yes, we want you to see your child experience positive sport discovery.
Question: Can I drop off my child? Is it a day camp?
Answer: No, it is not a day camp. You are responsible to take your child from the first activity to the second activity. And we want you to
share this sport discovery with your child.
Question: What time should I arrive at the facility?
Answer: Arrive at least 30 minutes before the activity session begins to ensure you have time to go to our registration desk to
receive your child’s package. Please arrive even earlier if your child need skates.
Question: Where do I go when I arrive at the facility?
Answer: Go to the registration desk. They will provide further instruction.
Question: Why do we have several age categories (6-8, 8-12 , 9-12)?
Answer: Some activities are only offered to specific ages, depending on physical and coordination skills that are needed to participate. Some activities are divided into a 6-8 year category and 9-12 year category, in order to provide better instruction to the children. Please ensure you are choosing the correct age category when you choose an activity for your child.
Question: Is the equipment provided?
Answer: Yes, but you may bring your own equipment if you prefer. Bathing suits are not provided for children entering the Diving sessions.
Question: What should my child bring?
Answer: A water bottle, hat and sunscreen if they are participating outdoors, sport appropriate clothing.
Question: What should my child wear?
Answer: Running shoes, sport and weather appropriate clothing.

Registration
Question: How long is an activity session? And are they all the same length?
Answer: Activity sessions are 45 minutes in length. Activities such as Mountain Biking and Ski Jumping at Canada
Olympic Park are 105 minutes sessions because it requires more time for the equipment. Ringette- Learn to
Skate at Village Square Leisure Centre is 105 minutes sessions to accommodate the time spent putting on/taking off
the equipment.
Question: Can I register my child in two different facilities?
Answer: No, you have to register both activities at one facility location.
Question: Can I register my child for more than two activities?
Answer: No, we want this event to be available to as many children as possible. Only two activity sessions are permitted per
child until the day of the event. On site registration is permitted a maximum of 15 minutes before the start of a session, if the session hasn't filled.
Question: Can I register on-site?
Answer: Yes, but we recommend registering online in order to have a better chance of getting the activity that you would like. If you wait until June 16, 2012 to register on-site, there is a smaller chance that there will be openings in the activity you prefer.
Question: Can my child bring friends?
Answer: Yes, but all friends must be registered and have completed all online forms with their parents/guardian.
Question: Where do I find the address to the facility my child is participating at?
Answer: You can find all information pertaining to the facility on the Facility page above. Please utilize the google map icon in order to help you to find the location.
Question: How can I change or cancel my child’s activity schedule?
Answer: You must login and go to the Our Sessions page, here you will have the ability to cancel any of your childrens' sessions by clicking the X icon.
Question: I lost my schedule, how do I find it?
Answer: You must login and go to the Our Sessions page in order to review and print your schedule.
Question: My child does not know how to skate. Can I still register him/her for ice sports? (example: hockey, ringette,
skating)
Answer: Yes, we have prepared the sessions to adapt to all skill levels. Instructors are prepared to help the children with all the skills involved in the activity.
Question: Can I be put on a waiting list for All Sport One Day?
Answer: No, unfortunately we do not have a waiting list, please check back as people do cancel out of sessions.

Question: How do I register my child for an activity he/she tried at All Sport One Day?
Answer: Please visit our Organizations page in order to view the information regarding the sport organizations who have donated instructors to teach the activities offered for All Sport One Day. Here you will be able to click on the Webpage icon related to the organization in order to visit their webpage.
Question: How can my child do ski jumping and/or biathlon in the summer?
Answer: The ski jumping and biathlon events are adapted for summer training purposes.
